3D Modeling

N64 Project

This was my first attempt at 3d modeling in maya. The theme was 'Dirty' or 'Grundgey'.

This Progect is currently a WIP. The above renders are current progress shots of a Game Boy Color. I added  temporary lighting to some of the renders so you can get a clearer idea of the geometry.

I approached this project as a modeling exercise, to practice modeling and to work without the mistakes that plagued my first project. As a result this model would be impractical for a game, due to its high poly count, as I chose to model elements which should really be bump mapped on. I intend to make a low poly version later on.

My plan is to create a range of textures to simulate a range of special edition Game Boys

Matte Painting

This was my first attempt at matte painting and projection mapping in Maya.

I'm planning to develop this further by adding in some 3D objects and going back and tweaking a few of the main problems, now that I have a better idea of the process.
